Movement and communication win nextbot rounds as often as map knowledge. Bahkruums [BETA] by OrbitWave Creations publishes a short control list on its Roblox experience page; this guide expands those bindings into practical usage for PC players. Console and mobile are officially limited during beta — treat this page as the keyboard and mouse reference until the developers document other platforms.

Roblox defaults you still use

Bahkruums runs inside Roblox, so standard client movement always applies:

Because Shift both sprints and can interact with Roblox shift-lock depending on settings, new players sometimes fight the camera. If your view snaps awkwardly in third person, open Roblox settings and disable shift lock for this experience. Bahkruums uses R6 morph; first-person feel differs from R15 horror titles — test camera distance in a safe corner before chasers arrive.

Sprint (Shift) — when and how long

Sprint is your primary cooldown tool. Nextbots in Gmod-inspired Roblox games punish predictable straight lines, but they also catch players who never commit speed. Use Shift in short bursts:

• Open rooms: cross visible floor fast, then break behind a corner before stamina or pathing slows you.
• Door transitions: snap through a doorway so chase AI repaths.
• Recovery: after a bad turn, sprint one segment only — long sprints telegraph route to twenty-player lobbies listening for footsteps.

Do not hold Shift every second. Audio mix in Bahkruums emphasizes sudden spikes; constant sprint noise makes team callouts harder to hear.

Scream (Q) vs Speak (T) vs Emote (G)

All three are social tools with different risk profiles.

Scream (Q) is the loudest intentional input. It can distract friends, celebrate escapes, or grief strangers. In Backrooms-style survival, loud cues correlate with player position more reliably than visual silhouettes in yellow light. Treat Q as a tactical button only when you accept drawing chasers.

Speak (T) depends on Roblox voice chat eligibility and your account settings. Voice carries further than text and enables quick routing (“left hall clear”). Keep messages short — beta servers with twenty players get chaotic fast. Mute toxic channels through Roblox rather than screaming back.

Emote (G) offers expression with lower audio footprint than Q in many sessions. Use G for reactions when you are hiding near teammates who already know your location.

Unlock mouse (Z)

Z frees the cursor without opening the full Roblox menu. Practical uses in Bahkruums include:

• Clicking UI prompts or vote dialogs if the beta adds round intermissions.
• Recentering camera after wall collisions in tight hallways.
• Copying server links or checking wiki pages on a second monitor while staying connected.

Practice toggling Z in a quiet moment so you are not fumbling during a chase. Some players rebind Roblox menu keys; Z remains the documented Bahkruums-specific unlock.

Bhop support and movement stack

Because bhop is officially supported, your control stack is WASD + Space + Shift under timing discipline. There is no separate “bhop key.” Chain jumps by releasing and re-tapping Space at the frame you touch ground while holding forward momentum. Sprint enters the chain when you need initial speed out of a dead stop.

Common mistakes:

• Holding Space continuously — you lose height and speed.
• Sprinting late — start Shift before the first jump in a chain.
• Bhopping in narrow doorframes — R6 hitboxes snag on trims; walk through, bhop after.

PC setup recommendations

• Mouse sensitivity: lower than your FPS main; precision turning matters more than flick shots.
• Headphones: stereo separation helps locate chase audio in liminal rooms.
• FPS cap: uncap or cap high enough that jump timing stays consistent.
• Keyboard: mechanical or linear switches help repeated jump inputs; any keyboard works if timing is deliberate.

Bahkruums launched 21 July 2026 with roughly 121k visits at early beta — performance patches may arrive. If frame drops spike after updates, check Updates before changing binds.

Limited console and mobile support

The developers warn that console and mobile support is limited. Roblox maps gamepad face buttons dynamically; sprint may sit on triggers, scream on D-pad, and voice behind platform permissions. Touch uses on-screen joysticks with smaller jump windows for bhop. Until OrbitWave Creations publishes official layouts, assume PC keys above are canonical.

If you must play on unsupported devices, prioritize Getting Started expectations and avoid competitive routing until controls feel equivalent to keyboard play.
